Sunshine, music and cake!

A highlight of the Clear Sky calendar is The Arts Society Abingdon’s Garden Party and we were thrilled to receive an invitation again this year. This year was Jess’ turn to attend.  It was a lovely sunny afternoon hosted by Pervin in her beautiful garden.  Pervin’s amazing tea set took centre stage with the biggest tea pot ever seen!

Jess gave the members an update on our work over the last 12 months, how art features in Play & Creative Arts Therapy sessions and how we have used the donations from The Arts Society Abingdon over the last year.  Jess also shared Clear Sky’s plans for the next year including to continue to provide essential frontline Play & Creative Arts Therapy services, holding our first Power of Play Conference in October 2023 and developing our online training offers.

After an engaging Q&A with lots of great questions we all enjoyed tea and cake (where there were too many delicious cakes to choose from) and were treated to a wonderful harp recital performed by Pervin and two of her talented students.

Thank you to Patricia, Pervin and The Arts Society Abingdon members for the invitation, Jess really enjoyed meeting everyone.

We are grateful for the continued support of The Arts Society Abingdon whose donations go towards providing arts and craft materials for our therapy kits.
