*UPDATE* Grace ran the ‘Bath Half’ for Clear Sky!

Our lovely friend and Clear Sky supporter Grace Park ran the Bath Half Marathon for Clear Sky on 17th March.

We are incredibly grateful to Grace for running this event in memory of her late mother Julia, who worked for Clear Sky and who was passionate about supporting good causes.

We are so thrilled to report that Grace has not only completed the Half Marathon, but also smashed her £500 target, with donations already in excess of £700! Thank you to Grace, and thank you to all of her supporters.

You can still donate to Grace’s fundraiser – her story is below:

Grace says: On the 17th of March 2024, I will be running the Bath Half. I decided to set myself the challenge to prove that with some determination and resilience I can do whatever I put my mind to. Running has always been my happy place and was something my mum, Julia Park, loved also. Sadly, my mum passed away in 2018 to cancer, so running is a way I can feel connected to her and brings me so much joy. My mum was the most kind, caring and generous person I ever knew, and is one of the reasons she started working for Clear Sky as their fundraiser. So, I decided that I wanted to run the Bath Half for Clear Sky and try and raise some money to support them.

Grief can be all consuming and for a long time completely overtook my life. I became quite anxious, but soon found running was something that helped me to cope with that. The whole process of preparing for The Bath Half and the training involved has been so amazing so far and reminds me how far I have come over the last 5 years. This is why raising money for Clear Sky throughout this is so important to me – children who experience traumatic events out of their control need support and care that is often lacking today. This is why clear sky is such an amazing charity as they provide this for young children, and I have an immense amount of respect for them and their cause.
