Phyllis Court supports Clear Sky as COTY!

The wonderful Committee at Phyllis Court Club, chose Clear Sky as one of their 2024 Charities of the Year.

Along with Oxfordshire Charity ABC to Read, Clear Sky were lucky to be selected following nomination and after a rigorous selection panel in January 2024.

We were thrilled to be told that we had been successful and our fundraising partnership started with a presentation at one of the Club’s Ladies’ Lunches, where members gave an indication of their generosity by purchasing every single one of our greetings cards after a short presentation.

Excitement built up from there to the summer where we were pleased to take part in raffle ticket sales at Henley Regatta. We were astonished at the amount of tickets sold on each day. And what a wonderful time we had there too!

There were several more Club events through the year that contributed towards the overall fundraising sum, not least a quiz night, various show sales and Christmas Drinks.

Alongside the Regatta, Clear Sky were able to help out at the fabulous Christmas Fair, again raising an enormous sum, and we were delighted to be asked to participate in the Experience Henley Living Advent Calendar event at Phyllis Court in the run up to Christmas.

The commitment of the Charities at Phyllis Court Club Committee is clear to see. We thoroughly enjoyed volunteering alongside each of them across the year, and meeting so many lovely members.

Finally, on 18th February 2025 we were invited to the AGM where Charities at Phyllis Court announced that they had raised a total of £32400! Both charities were presented with a cheque for an astonishing £16,200, along with an additional amount which the Club had raised for Riding for the Disabled. The cheques were presented by the Mayor of Henley, the Club Chairman and the Chair of the CAPC Committee.

Clear Sky Charity Director Anna said “This is an overwhelming amount which will go towards supporting many more children in our region”

Henley Standard attended the event and their article can be seen here.

Thank you to everyone who donated prizes for the raffles held across the year.

We wish the very best of luck to the club for 2025. The chosen charities are ‘My Cancer My Choice’ and ‘The Chiltern Centre’
