Schools play a pivotal role in supporting a child or young person to develop emotional well-being and resilience; enabling them to reach their fullest potential.

Clear Sky works closely with schools helping them to support the children and young people in their care.

We support children in schools with Play & Creative Arts Therapy and Animal Assisted Play Therapy, support whole school mental health with our Emotionally Healthy Schools Platform. and offer bespoke training to school staff.

Play and Creative Arts Therapy

We support Primary, Secondary and Specialist schools by providing individual and group-based Play and Creative Arts Therapy, and through specialised and adaptable training which focuses on the importance of relationships and provides staff with play-based strategies that can be implemented throughout school to support social, emotional, and mental health needs, and which positively impacts behaviour. Our wonderful team of qualified therapists work in schools across Oxfordshire.

Animal Assisted Play Therapy

Animal Assisted Play Therapy ® supports children and young people aged 4+ experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties. Heidi and Rolo the dog have joined the dedicated Clear Sky team to work within local Oxfordshire schools. Together, they help vulnerable children and young people safely navigate whatever personal challenges might arise. This ranges from peer anxiety and poor concentration in class to worries at home, or simply feeling misunderstood.

Emotionally Healthy Schools

We support whole school mental health through our ‘Emotionally Healthy Schools’ platform. This online, on-demand resource empowers schools across the UK to effectively understand, direct, and maintain positive emotional health. Our transformative platform delivers high-quality, CPD-accredited skills directly to teachers. This gives them the confidence to respond appropriately to diverse classroom demands. Adult-Child Attachment Play (ACAP) Professional CPD for Teachers

ACAP is an innovative early help model that focuses on strengthening the adult/carer – child relationship. The ACAP practitioner primarily works with the child one to one. The intervention is aimed at children 3+ to late teens. It can be offered to both neurotypical and neurodiverse children and adapted according to the child’s need. This longer-term, sustained training programme successfully integrates theory and practice, ensuring practitioners confidently deliver this creative, effective intervention.

Supporting Children’s Mental Health Through Play INSET Training

This course provides a theoretical understanding of trauma and attachment, offering practical strategies to support children in the classroom. We give staff the confidence to establish kind yet firm boundaries that children respond to. Our training teaches you to mindfully set up classrooms based on the needs of individuals to create an optimum learning environment, how to respond to behaviour as form of communication, and help children develop emotional intelligence and self-regulation.
