Our wonderful friends at the Arts Society Abingdon hosted another glorious fundraiser for Clear Sky this August.
Once again, we were thrilled to be invited to the beautiful garden of Arts Society Member, Pervin, for another of their annual 2-day, back-to-back fundraisers for good causes.
We aren’t quite sure how they do it, but on every occasion so far they have managed to pull off beautiful weather, and hence the event was again held outside in Pervin’s marvellous garden. This year, our newest staff member Stephanie attended the event on behalf of Clear Sky, and gave the members an update on how we have spent their generous donations. Each year we have been incredibly fortunate to receive a donation from the members who attend this event which goes towards practical arts and crafts resources for our team of therapists to use on the front line.
This year was no exception and we were humbled to once again receive a cheque for £500 which will be put to the same very good use for the benefit of local children. Thank you also to members who so generously bought sets of our new Christmas Cards, in August!
The afternoon moved onto a fabulous harp concert, with the multi-talented harpist Pervin taking the lead, followed by the infamous teapot of tea, and an amazing array of cakes, all served on Pervin’s growing and eclectic tea set.
We can’t thank members of the Arts Society Abingdon enough for their unfailing support for our work. We do hope to be invited again next year!
